This place is a fantastic base for exploring El Chalten's stunning hiking trails. We loved the packed lunch option for our hikes, making it easier to enjoy the outdoors with our two teens. The bar area was great for relaxing after a day out.
My wife says that more activities for teens would be great.

Clean, large rooms with all basic amenities. Good breakfast options available that cater to early risers heading for hikes.
The shower had mildew, fluctuating water temperatures went from scalding to cold, and no air conditioning made the room uncomfortable. Also, a strange requirement to return keys to the desk each time leaving the property added an extra layer of annoyance.

I really liked Lunajuim. The location is great, just a short walk from the bus station, with easy access to the main hiking points. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful, providing valuable advice for hikes, even when the weather wasn't perfect. My room felt spacious, warm, and comfortable after a long hike. One big plus was how they let us use a shower after our multi-day trek, even though we weren't staying that night. The breakfast was quite good, and I appreciated the packed lunch option for our hiking days. However, the restaurant wasn't up to par. I found the dining options lacking. Overall, a solid stay, but the restaurant could use some work.

great stay but restaurant needs improvement
The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel welcomed from the start. I enjoyed the very clean atmosphere, which added to my comfort. The hot shower with excellent water pressure was a refreshing treat after a day of hiking. Additionally, I appreciated the packed lunch option for my hiking excursions, which made my days out much easier. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
However, the dining options left a lot to be desired.

i thought i could rely on the internet, but it was almost non-existent, which is fairly inexcusable these days. the shower was so dirty that i half-expected a horror movie villain to pop out. as a special guest, i would have appreciated an upgrade for my troubles, but apparently that’s too much to ask here.

Had a great stay. Room was clean, spacious, with a private bathroom and nice amenities like a hairdryer and free toiletries. Breakfast spread was solid with hot and cold options. Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed the cozy bar and met tons of friendly staff who really helped us plan two hikes, Laguna Capri and Mirador de los Aguilas. Our standard room felt clean and comfy, and the breakfast was a nice start to our long hiking days!
The only downside was the breakfast variety, which could use improvement for early risers. It was decent, but having a better selection would be great for hikers!
